Building on the success of our TT motor + wheel kit launched in 2018, we’ve listened to customer feedback to offer this standalone motor, ready to enhance your projects with its optimized design and performance.

Enhanced Performance and Pre-Soldered Tinned Wires:
With a precision-engineered 1:48 gear ratio, the Yellow “TT” motor offers nearly twice the speed of its Blue metal counterpart, which operates at a 1:90 gear ratio. This motor comes with pre-soldered tinned wires, making it quick and easy to connect in your projects—saving you setup time while ensuring strong, reliable connections. Speed control is accessible through PWM when used with an Arduino or any compatible microcontroller and motor driver.

Voltage and Current Specifications:
Operating smoothly across a 3VDC to 6VDC range, this motor’s performance varies with voltage. Our bench-top tests revealed the following stats:

• 3VDC: 150mA @ 120 RPM (no-load), 1.1 Amps stalled
• 4.5VDC: 155mA @ 185 RPM (no-load), 1.2 Amps stalled
• 6VDC: 160mA @ 250 RPM (no-load), 1.5 Amps stalled

These specifications make it suitable for a range of lightweight robotic applications.

Simple but Powerful:
While this motor doesn’t include encoders, speed control, or positional feedback, its fundamental design makes it easy to implement in basic motorized projects. Each unit operates as a straightforward voltage-to-rotation converter, with slight variation among units. For precise movement, an external feedback system will be necessary.

Important Note:
Always use a motor driver to power the Yellow “TT” motor, as microcontrollers alone lack the capacity to drive it directly.
