Following the success of the MDS40A and based on user feedback, we have enhanced and rebranded it as the Enhanced SmartDrive 40A.

The Enhanced SmartDrive 40 is an upgraded version of the MDS40A, specifically designed for driving brushed DC motors ranging from medium to high power, with a current capacity of up to 80A peak and 40A continuously. The MOSFETs are switched at 16 KHz to ensure quiet operation, eliminating any annoying whining sounds. Additionally, it is equipped with a microcontroller unit that provides smart features such as multiple input modes, current limiting, and thermal protection.

Furthermore, the Enhanced SmartDrive 40 can be easily paired with another similar unit, offering a seamless plug-and-play experience for driving robots with differential drive systems.

This SmartDrive 40 is well-suited for use in Combat/Rumble/Fighting Robots, as it can drive starter motors and operate in RC (Radio Control) mode.

Note: Ensure the use of appropriate wire/cable for the battery and motor, as thin jumper wire/cable is not suitable for high-current applications, which may impact the performance of the driver and motor control. We recommend using Multicore Wire AWG14 in Red and Multicore Wire AWG14 in Black.
